    Ich kann nur jedem, der sich auch nur ein bisschen für schnellen, manchmal metallischen Ska mit viel Flair und spanischen Einflüssen begeistern kann, empfehlen 1. dieses Album zu ergattern und 2. Wisecräcker live zu erleben. Wisecräcker rocken die Bude!

    El Presidente is the self-titled debut album from Scottish band El Presidente, released 24 October The album was also released on 8 February in Japan with two extra tracks, a new recording called "Lies" and a cover of Prince's "Raspberry Beret", which was also included as a B-side to "Turn This Thing Around".In total four singles have been released from the album, "Rocket", " MPH.

    This is the self titled debut release from Glasgow based 5 piece outfit El Presidente. The album sees the band take elements of pop, glam rock, disco and p-funk, while drawing inspiration from artists such as Led Zeppelin, the Bee Gees, Parliament and Prince, creating a sound that is already being likened to the hugely successful Scissor Sisters/5(11).

    El Presidente CD. Auf ihrem dritten Album "El Presidente" haben sich sechs Hannoveraner "Klugscheißer" von WISECRÄCKER deutlich weiterentwickelt. 12 taufrische Songs zwischen Punkrock ("My (incomplete) list of shame"), Skapunk ("Watcha want?!") und traditionellem Ska ("Sparta"), wobei "Para mi Gente (y por las calles)" neu aufgenommen wurde.

    Das Online-Magazin bathstiplosidaca.kenlecaponathtyadarcsiphapindeiprob.co lobt die Detailverliebtheit und Andersartigkeit von Neue Welt, gibt aber auch zu bedenken, dass das Album "wohl auf keiner Party ihren Platz findet". Das läge schlichtweg daran, dass "der gehörige Anteil an Mainstream-Pop nach Schema F" auf der Platte fehlen würde. Insgesamt fällt das Fazit aber sehr positiv aus.
